Michael A Walsh is currently enrolled in his fifth and final year of Penn State's Architectural Engineering Program. Within the program, he is focusing on the construction management option and he plans on graduating in May of 2017.

For his past two summers, Michael was employeed with HSC Builders based out of Exton, Pa. The company mainly does work in the Tri-State area. HSC stands for Health Sciences Construction, which was the orginal focus of the company. They have since moved into other sectors such as higher education and infrastructure. While with the company, Michael worked mainly as member of the estimating team, his tasks included, writing contracts, developing scope, answering subcontractor questions, and performing take-offs. The opportunity allowed for Michael to apply the skills he's obtained over the past four years into real life situations, as well as gain valueable knowledge that is unobtainable in a classroom setting.

When not furthing his education, Michael enjoys activities such as soccer, lacrosse,  snowboarding, and working out. Soccer and lacrosse allowed for Michael to learn about how inorder for groups to be successful, individuals need to come together as a team. Snowboarding and lacross, being more individual based activities taught him the valuable lesson that you can never stop learning or getting better at something.
